Alewife Brook Parkway / Powder House intersection update:
New traffic signal lights have been installed and soon wiring will commence. Once wiring is installed there will be a testing period for approximately 2 weeks, where the lights will be set to a flashing mode. During this time, the exisiting cross-walk signals will still be operational. Following this testing period, city staff will meet with DCR officials (who over see that stretch of road) to determine traffic light timing and convert to normal usage. New crosswalk signals coming into use when the traffic lights begin normal operation.
